And with all inclusive Fiji packages, you’ll be able to stay at an all inclusive Fiji resort. There, you’ll experience the best in Fijian cuisine and stay in a private villa.
Your resort will also be able to help you find activities to fill your days while staying in Fiji. One of the most popular activities in Fiji is scuba diving amongst the famous coral reefs off the islands’ shores. Known as the Soft Coral Capital of the World, Fiji offers many beautiful dive spots.
Somosomo Strait
Located between the islands of Taveuni and Vanua Levu, the Somosomo Strait is a narrow channel of seawater that’s full of life. Home to the Rainbow Reef and the Great White Wall, it’s a popular site for divers of all skill levels, and many make their way to Fiji specifically to dive here and see the sights. You’ll be able to see coral of all colors of the rainbow, the namesake of this beautiful underwater landmark. Don’t leave Fiji without taking the time to dive the Somosomo Strait and experiencing this once in a lifetime majesty.
Bligh Water
Between Fiji’s two largest islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, you will find Bligh Water. This nutrient rich channel attracts aquatic life of all sizes, making it a great place for a dive if you want to see some fish.
You must be careful where you choose to dive in this area. Some parts of Bligh Water have strong currents, making them appropriate for experienced divers only. If you are a beginner, ask a guide to take you out into the water to ensure that you have a safe experience.
Shark Reef Marine Reserve
If you fancy high octane adventures—like swimming with sharks—head on over to Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Established in April of 2004, this reserve serves as an ecological sanctuary for sharks of many different species. You’ll find Whitetip Reef Sharks, Blacktip Reef Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Tawny Nurse Sharks, Sicklefin Lemon Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Bull Sharks, and Tiger Sharks. The Shark Dive experience allows you to swim among all of them!
No matter what kind of dive you prefer, you’re bound to find a wonderful experience on or around the islands of Fiji. Ask your resort to help you find the best dive for your interest and skill level!
